I'o Io Maui is the less-well-known sister restaurant of Pacific'O restaurant (same owners and same head chef, James McDonald). Both are side-by-side on the ocean in the 505 Front Street shopping center in Lahaina. I'o has the more modern decor, with indoor as well as outdoor seating. Dinner only. Phone 808-661-8422. Io is one of the premier Maui restaurants for Pacific Rim cuisine. This type of food blends ideas from California with food preparations from Japan and other Asian countries. My wife and my favorite fish preparation here is the "Crabby Catch." Our favorite dessert is the marvelous "Chocolate Pate."
