The Da Kitchen is a small, very casual restaurant where the locals eat, in Kahului, Maui's largest city. It's at 425 Koloa Street in the Triangle Square strip mall, near K-Mart (close to the airport). Phone 871-7782.

Da Kitchen is known for huge servings of plate lunches, local and Hawaiian style food. They have the same menu all day. Open for lunch Monday-Saturday, dinner Monday-Friday.

A plate lunch is a modern Hawaiian staple meal, consisting of meat or fish accompanied by scoops of sticky rice and potato salad (or green salad). See below for specific Da Kitchen menu items as well as photos.

If you are shopping in Kahului and want to eat like the people who live on Maui, instead of like a tourist, Da Kitchen will provide you with large servings of tasty food.
