Napili Beach is a long crescent beach at Napili Bay, on the west side of Maui, about nine miles north of Lahaina. This is one of Maui’s most beautiful beach settings.
There are several good condos to choose from if you want to stay on Napili Beach. The one that I recommend is Napili Kai, which is the largest with 11 buildings (mostly two-story), and with most of its units air conditioned. Three that are usually less expensive are the Mauian, Napili Sunset, and Napili Surf. The Mauian has only studio units (no separate bedrooms) and it does not have air conditioning. Napili Sunset has one and two-bedroom units, as well as studios, but it also lacks air conditioning. Napili Surf has mostly studios, with a few one-bedroom units, and it also has no air conditioning. You might also want to consider Napili Shores, which is not really on Napili Beach, but is just a three-minute walk away on an adjacent rocky shoreline.
There are two good restaurants on the two ends of Napili Beach. At the north end, right on the end of the beach, is Seahouse. On the south end, just over a rocky section at the end of the beach, is the Gazebo.
From Napili Bay you can see both the island of Lanai to your left and the island of Molokai to your right. Anyplace along Napili Bay is a good place to watch a sunset, but my favorite spot is standing just outside the Seahouse restaurant.
