Keawakapu is a large and popular beach at the south end of Kihei, just north of Wailea, on Maui’s south side.
This beach is nearly a mile long, extending all the way from the Mana Kai condos at the south end of Kihei, to the Andaz hotel in the north part of Wailea. The land alongside the beach is fully developed, with many condos, houses, and restaurants, either along the beach or across the street. Some lava rocks near the north end of the beach provide tide pools where you can look for small fish or sea creatures. The beach is popular with swimmers, sunbathers, snorkelers, and boogie boarders.
Nearby condos or hotels include Kihei Surfside, Mana Kai, and Maui Oceanfront Inn on the north end, and Wailea Ekahi Village and Andaz Wailea hotel on the south end. Nearby restaurants include Five Palms and Sarentos on the Beach.
