Mill House is a restaurant at the Maui Tropical Plantation at 1670 Honoapiilani Highway, in Waikapu. Phone 808-270-0333. Open for lunch and dinner.
Maui chef Jeff Scheer was named Chef of the Year in 2015. He has created a menu based on fresh ingredients, many of which are grown right here on the property of Maui Tropical Plantation. The menu changes to make best use of the crops currently available. The menu is not long, but it does include a seafoods, meats, and vegetarian choices. The view through the plantation with the West Maui Mountains in the distance is spectacular.
There are two actual old locomotives that are fun to see inside the restaurant.
A special dining event called “Chef’s Table” occurs at Mill House on Friday and Saturday evenings. The chef produces a 7 course meal featuring interactive dining, where guests can discuss each food item with the chef as he serves them at his open air kitchen.
