Monkeypod Kitchen

Monkeypod Kitchen is a restaurant by chef Peter Merriman in the Wailea Gateway center, uphill from the Shops at Wailea. It is at 10 Wailea Gateway Place, phone 808-891-2322.

This restaurant was designed to be less fancy and less expensive than Merriman's other Maui restaurant in Kapalua. It is still beautifully decorated and the dinner entrees are only a little less expensive. But there are more other choices that allow you to eat lunch or dinner here at moderate prices, such as burgers, salads, pizza, noodles, or fish & chips. Most tables are indoors, but a few tables are outside with a distant ocean view. The kitchen is open so you can watch them cook or see them toss your pizza. It can be noisy.
