Merriman’s
Merriman’s Maui is an upscale restaurant at the former location of the Bay Club restaurant, at the south end of Kapalua, adjacent to Napili. It’s at 1 Bay Club Drive, just off the Lower Honoapiilani Road. Phone 808-669-6400.
Merriman’s is beautifully decorated with elegant modern furnishings. It’s in a gorgeous setting with a fabulous ocean view, especially at sunset. There is a bar with a large deck seating area that extends out to the ocean from the main restaurant, which is indoors but open-air. Food is excellent and beautifully presented. Service is friendly and attentive. Very expensive. Some entrees are offered in a smaller serving at slightly lower cost. Usually only open for dinner, but sometimes open for lunch in the busier seasons. Chef owner Peter Merriman is one of the founders of Pacific Rim Cuisine. There is a less fancy and less expensive Merriman restaurant in Wailea called Monkeypod Kitchen. See below for a list of some menu items and photos for this Merriman’s in Kapalua.
If you don’t mind the high prices, for great food and an amazing sunset oceanfront view, it’s hard to top dinner at Merriman’s.
For other restaurants in all price ranges on this side of Maui (Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kapalua), see West Maui Restaurants.
