About Monkeypod Kaʻanapali
This is a great place to enjoy lunch, dinner, mid-day snacks, or late-evening snacks, right in the heart of Maui’s main resort area. It’s an easy walk from any of the major Kaʻanapali Beach resort hotels, and an easy drive from anyplace on the west side of Maui (Lahaina, Kaʻanapali, Honokowai, Kahana, Napili, Kapalua). And of course, it’s very convenient when you are shopping at Whalers Village.
Monkeypod Kitchen Kaʻanapali is covered but open-air, giving it a real Maui ambiance. There is often live music, though that can make the place loud at times. Some of my wife and my favorite foods here are the mushroom pizza, the shrimp & mushroom potstickers, the fish & chips, and the corn chowder.
As one of Peter Merriman’s three restaurants on Maui, Monkeypod Kitchen Kaʻanapali has many choices of excellent food on its menu. And the prices are much lower than at the upscale Merriman’s in Kapalua, just a few minutes away (though a few of the largest dinner entrees are expensive).
Monkeypod Kaʻanapali Menu
The menu at Monkeypod Kitchen Kaʻanapali is slightly different at lunch than at dinner. But at all times you can enjoy appetizers, pizzas, salads, meats, fish, noodles, and a children’s menu. At Happy Hour in the late afternoon and late evening, appetizers are half off and pizzas are at much-reduced prices.
