Paia Fish Market
Paia Fish Market is a very casual restaurant at 110 Hana Highway at the corner of Baldwin in the center of Paia. Phone 808-579-8030. They also have branches in Kihei and Lahaina.
The restaurant is small, and all tables are large with long bench seats. You order your food at the counter and they call out your name when it is ready. After picking up your food, you take it to the table where you sit with new-found friends to enjoy your meal, so this is a great place to meet both Maui locals and tourists. Lunch or dinner offers a variety of seafoods and a few meat or vegetarian dishes, all of which are generous and tasty. I first discovered Paia FishMarket many years ago when my son told me he ate there because Mama’s Fish House was too expensive.
If you are looking for a very good meal at a price far below Maui’s fancier restaurants, this longstanding Paia restaurant is a great find.
