Maka is a vegan restaurant in the town of Paia. It has moved into the inside of the grocery store, Mana Foods, at 49 Baldwin Avenue. It was formerly at its own separate location at 115 Baldwin Avenue. Phone for Mana Foods is 808-579-8078.
Maka is all vegan, all gluten-free, and mostly raw food. This restaurant is created and owned by Mana Foods, a grocery store that is well known on Maui for its locally grown organic produce and other healthy foods. Paia is often called Maui’s hippy or surfer town, on the north shore.
I am not a vegan, but I was amazed at how delicious, and beautifully presented, all the food is at Maka. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, whenever Mana Foods grocery store is open. There are breakfast bowls, salads, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, soup, pies, ice cream, juices and smoothies, and all are vegan and gluten-free.
See below for Maka menu list and food photos. That list is from 2016, before Maka moved inside of Mana Foods.
