About Worcester Glassworks

This is different from any of the other places where you can watch glassblowing on Maui and buy the resulting products.  Only at Worcester Glassworks can you watch the production of the glass objects so closely.  And only here can you discuss the work in detail with the friendly people actually making the glass.  This is a family business. Bill and Sally Worcester are a husband and wife glassblowing team who started the well-known Hot Island Glass factory and store in Makawao in 1992. In 2000, they sold that business and took their skills to a new studio on the property of their home in Kula. They trained their son Michael who joined them here in 2005.

At Worcester Glassworks you can admire or buy numerous beautiful glass pieces in all colors.  They have decorative bowls, platters, paperweights, vases, gourds, nautilus shells, and other objects in many different shapes and sizes. They are usually open from 10 AM to 5 PM but call ahead to make sure they will be working in the viewable production area when you plan to go.
