About Village Gallery

This is the oldest art gallery on Maui, in business since 1970 (at this location since 1978).  There is also a smaller branch gallery in the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Kapalua.  The owner of the Village Gallery is Lynn Shue.

One of my personal favorite Maui artists who exhibits here is Betty Hay Freeland.  She participates in the Plein Air outdoor painting event sponsored by the Village Gallery every February.  Other Maui artists at that event include George Allan, Michael Clements, Carleton Kinkade, Ronaldo Macebo, and Macario Pascual. Artists from the other Hawaiian islands and from the mainland also come to Maui for this and also exhibit at the Village Gallery all year round.

Friday night is art night in Lahaina, and the Village Gallery often has artists appearing in person at those times to talk about their work.
