Where to Dine & Shop in Kihei

Kihei is a town in south Maui with numerous condos for tourists and part-time residents.  Where do all those people eat and shop?  A three-mile section of central Kihei contains eight major strip shopping malls, all on South Kihei Road, across the street from the ocean.  This page will tell you about where you can find those shopping centers and what restaurants and stores are in them.  (A separate page tells about the larger Azeka shopping centers in Kihei.)  The following are listed in order from north to south.

Long’s Drugs Kihei Center is at 1215 South Kihei Road.  It includes the large Longs Drugstore, Tanpopo restaurant, Piko restaurant, Maui Brick Oven gluten-free pizza restaurant, Amigos Mexican restaurant, Birkenstock, Boss Frogs snorkel rentals, Lighthaus Camera, and Maui Dry Cleaners.

Kukui Mall is at 1819 South Kihei Road.  It includes Regency Kihei movie theaters, Mama’s Ribs & Rotisserie, Thailand Cuisine, Starbucks, and Lovely Nails & Spa.

Foodland Kihei Town Center is at 1881 South Kihei Road.  This is home to the large Foodland grocery store, Sansei Japanese restaurant, Cuatro Latin-Pacific Rim restaurant, Kamana Indian restaurant, Rainbow Attic secondhand store, and Divers Locker.

Kihei Kalama Village (across from the big whale statue) is at 1941 South Kihei Road. It contains Threes restaurant, Kihei Caffe, Pupu Lounge, Maui Tacos, King’s BBQ & Chinese restaurant, Fat Daddy’s BBQ, Pita Paradise, Dog & Duck Irish Pub, Lava Java coffee, Serenity clothing, Red Dirt t-shirts, and Mahina clothing.

Dolphin Plaza is at 2395 South Kihei Road, across from Kamaole I Beach Park.  Here you will find Koiso Sushi, Maui BBQ, Pizza Hut, Tortillas of Maui, Taqueria Cruz, Cafe @ LaPlage, Maui Gelato, an arcade, Consignment Plus, Boss Frog snorkel rentals, Hawaii Gift & Craft, and a hair and nail salon.

Kamaole Beach Center is at 2411 South Kihei Road.  It includes Sports Page Grill, Maui Tacos, Hawaiian Moons Natural Foods, Honolua Surf clothing, Snorkel Bob rentals, and Maui Massage Spa.

Rainbow Mall is at 2439 South Kihei Road.  This contains Cafe O’Lei restaurant, Maui Thai Bistro, Da Kitchen restaurant, Wailea Realty, Auntie Snorkel Gear, Ohana Fashions, Surf Style, Wine Attic, Karen’s Island Gift Shop, Maui Custom Beachwear, Maui Fine Art, Happy Hawaiian Collectables, and a hair & nail salon.

Kamaole Shopping Center is at 2463 South Kihei Road.  Here are Chinese Cuisine, Maui Tacos, Kihei Aloha Ice Cream, Denny’s, Subway, Cinnamon Roll Fair, Whalers General Store, Maui Water Wear, Maui Clothing Company, Maui Ocean Arts, Maui Dive Shop, Maui Nail Bar, Eelskin Gifts, and Harley Rentals.
