Maui Hands Art Galleries is a group of four of Maui’s best places to buy paintings and home decorating accessories. They are in Makawao (1169 Makawao Avenue, 808-572-2008), Paia (84 Hana Highway, 808-579-9245), Kaanapali (in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 808-667-7997), and Lahaina (612 Front Street, 808-667-9898).
About Maui Hands
At each Maui Hands gallery, you will find original paintings, fine art giclee, prints, photography, jewelry, ceramics, glass, sculpture, woodwork, textiles, baskets, candles, creams, fountains, carpets, lamps, local hardwood furniture, kitchen and bath accessories, pottery, and Hawaiian gifts or souvenirs.
All of the over 300 artists represented in the Maui Hands galleries are local to the state of Hawaii. There are often special showings by individual artists, and you can sometimes meet the artist in the gallery, or even watch them create an art piece in the gallery.
Maui Hands has been in operation since 1992. Its dedicated and knowledgeable owner is Panna Speas Cappelli. Their website is mauihands.com.
