About Kaʻanapali Beach Hotel
Kaʻanapali Beach Hotel is easily the best of the older (built in 1964), and hence less expensive, hotels on Kaʻanapali Beach. Its pools and lobby are not as elaborate, and its 430 rooms (425 square feet) are not as modern, as those at the Hyatt, Marriott, or Sheraton, but it’s in that same perfect location, near the major resorts, Whalers Village shopping center, restaurants, and Black Rock snorkeling.
Some unique amenities at the Kaʻanapali Beach Hotel are a kid’s passport program, daily cultural activities, a whale-shaped swimming pool, a magic dinner show, and a departure lei ceremony. Free items to immerse you in Hawaii include hula lessons, lei making, ukulele playing class, cultural garden walks, Hawaiian language lessons, pineapple cutting demonstrations, pareo tying, and kukui bracelet making.
The Kaʻanapali Beach Hotel is the only Maui hotel with a free hula show several evenings per week and free singers every Sunday morning. No wonder its guests keep returning over and over. They often offer a free dinner, a free breakfast, or several other free amenities to returning guests, so be sure to tell them if you have stayed there in the past.
The main restaurant in the hotel is the Tiki Terrace, with breakfast, dinner, and buffet Sunday brunch.
