Lahaina’s Last Resort was a hostel at the corner of the Honoapiilani Highway, in Lahaina, on the west side of Maui.

About Lahaina’s Last Resort

Yes, it is possible to stay very inexpensively on Maui, if you don’t mind a small simple room and a shared bathroom. This hostel has just six rooms, which includes two dorms that can sleep up to 8 people each, two dorms that sleep up to 4 people each, and two private rooms that sleep 2 or 3 people each, for a total of 30 beds (mostly bunk beds). Each room has air conditioning and a small refrigerator. There is a shared bathroom with two toilet rooms and two showers. One set of linens (sheets & towel) is provided, and rooms are cleaned daily. There are no televisions, no telephones, no coffee-pots nor hotplates in the rooms. But there is a common garden area outside with a four-burner stove, microwave, charcoal grill, toaster oven, coffee maker, and sink. A laundry room is also shared. Wi-fi is free.

This hostel is in the town of Lahaina, a couple of blocks from the ocean, and not near a beach, but within easy walking distance of grocery store, bus stop, and Lahaina’s restaurants, stores, boat harbor, and historical buildings. The hostel is connected to a building that has Maui Visitor Information.
