How to Choose a Spa on Maui
Visiting a Spa in Maui is a treat for many individuals and couples on their Maui vacation. But how can you decide which one has the services you want at a price you are willing to pay?
The main difference in Maui spas is whether the spa is in a major big-name resort hotel, or whether it is independent. Hotel spas are more luxurious, offer more choices of services, and are more expensive. At the spa at a large hotel, you are likely to find beautiful decor and a long list of possible services. You can not only have an indoor or outdoor massage, but can also choose hydrotherapy, aromatic baths, skin care therapy, exfoliation, and more, each with dozens of varieties. But adding up a few of those services can easily cost you hundreds of dollars. On the other hand, if you go to an independent Maui spa, you may find just massages, a Jacuzzi, and simpler facials, all at lower prices than the hotels. Or if all you want is a massage, you can have someone come to you to do the massage in your hotel or condo room. Either way, you are likely to enjoy being pampered.
See below for information about specific Maui spas in each category. The upper half of the list has the luxurious (but expensive) hotel spas, while the lower half of the list has the smaller independent lower-priced spas.
