Monsoon India has a well-deserved reputation as the best Indian restaurant on Maui. It is in the Menehune Shores condo building at 760 South Kihei Road. Phone 808-875-6666.

I thought I didn't like Indian food until I ate here. The menu offers so many choices, and so many items available less spicy or more spicy, that there are tasty foods that everyone can enjoy. The restaurant is right on the ocean with beautiful wide-open views. They are open for dinner 7 days per week, and for lunch Wednesday through Sunday. Buffets are a great way to try several of their foods, at dinner on Fridays or brunch on Sundays. There's also a smaller version of this restaurant in the Wharf center across from the banyan tree on Front Street in Lahaina.
