Japengo at the Hyatt Regency Maui Hotel Japengo restaurant opened at the Hyatt Regency Resort Hotel on Kaanapali Beach at the end of 2010. It is at the former location of Cascades restaurant. Phone 808-661-1234. The menu at Japengo (not spelled Japango) features a long list of sushi choices, as well as many non-sushi appetizers, salads, fish and meat entrees. It is only open for dinner and is very expensive. The decor is modern Asian. There are indoor and outdoor tables. In my opinion, the food and service at Japengo are not great enough to warrant the high prices they charge. See below for a list of some of the menu items, and photos of food.
