The most luxurious condos on Maui, very large and in a great location, but the prices are very high. Air conditioned. Built in 2005. 98 units in several two and three and five-story buildings. For photos and more information, click on this link:

Polo Beach has large luxury condos on a beach in Wailea, within walking distance of the Fairmont Kea Lani hotel. Air conditioned. Opened in 1982. 71 units in one 8-story building. For photos and more information, click on this link:

Wailea Ekahi Village is the first of the four Wailea Villas. It is on large grounds with one end at a beach. Built in 1975. 258 units in 54 two-story buildings. For photos and more information, click on this link:

Wailea Elua Village (808) 879-1595
Wailea Elua Village is one of the two Wailea Villas condo complexes that are on a beach rather than uphill by the golf courses. Built in 1976-1980. 153 units in 24 two-story buildings. For photos and more information, click on this link:

Wailea Villas is the group name for the Wailea Ekahi, Elua, Ekolu and Grand Champions, each described elsewhere on this page. Elua (Hawaiian for 2) is the only one of the four Wailea Villas condos that is right on a beach. Ekahi (1) is mostly on a hill adjacent to a beach, though the pool and some units are by the beach. Ekolu (3) and Grand Champions are on golf courses or on a hill. The first three (Ekahi, Elua, Ekolu) opened in 1975-1980, but Grand Champions is a few years newer (opened 1990) and is in the best location if your main purpose of coming to Maui is to play golf and tennis. Some air conditioned, some not. 704 units total in about one hundred mostly 2-story buildings, for all four complexes combined. For photos and more information, click on these links:

Mana Kai (808) 879-1561
Mana Kai has one of the best beach locations of any condo in Kihei, right adjacent to Keawakapu Beach. (Most other condos in Kihei are across the street from beaches.) The hotel room units are air conditioned, the one-bedroom units are not, and the two-bedroom units are air conditioned in only the second bedroom. Opened in 1973. 98 units in one 8-story building. Royal Mauian is in the south half of Kihei, on the ocean, adjacent to Kamaole I beach. Not air conditioned. Opened in 1973. 107 units in one six-story building. For photos and more information, click on this link:

Maui Banyan is a large (256 unit) air conditioned condo complex, across the street from Kamaole II beach. Opened in 1991. For photos and more information, click on this link:

Unlike some of the less expensive condos in Kihei, Maui Hill has air conditioning, a washer-dryer in each unit, large lanais and daily maid service. The units highest on the hill have better ocean views, but are a more difficult uphill walk when you’re coming back from the beach across the street. Kamaole Sands in Kihei is a good family spot with a wading pool, jacuzzis, barbecues and tennis courts. It’s across the street from Kamaole III Beach. Air conditioning is only in the living room & kitchen, but not in the bedrooms. Built in 1983. 440 units in ten 4-story buildings. For photos and more information, click on this link:

Hale Kamaole is in the south half of Kihei, across the street from Kamaole III beach. There are one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, with air conditioning only in the bedrooms, not in the living room and kitchen. Opened in 1974. 188 units in five 2- and 3-story buildings. Sugar Beach Resort is on the southern edge of Maui's central valley, not actually in Kihei. It's a central location on a good beach. 215 units in six-story buildings with air conditioning. Opened in 1977. For photos and more information, click on this link:

Grand Champions is one of the four Wailea Villas. It's far off the beach, between the Wailea Tennis Club and the Old Blue golf course. Opened in 1990. 188 units in several low-rise buildings. For photos and more information, click on this link:
