The Gazebo is a small, hidden, out-of-the-way restaurant, but Maui residents and tourists have found it, and it is very popular. You too can find it, poolside at the Napili Shores condos, 5315 Lower Honoapiilani Road, in Napili (a few miles north of Kaanapali). Phone 669-5621.

The view at the Gazebo is fabulous, since it's right on the ocean adjacent to Napili Bay. Gazebo has the same menu through all the hours they are open, serving only breakfast and lunch from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. There are great pancakes, omelettes, salads, sandwiches, burgers and more. The only problem with The Gazebo is that there is always a waiting line to get in. Expect to wait outside for 20 to 45 minutes, depending on how crowded Maui is at the time you go. But the ocean view is great while you are waiting.

Gazebo rarely changes parts of their menu, so the following items will probably all be available on the day you go. Here are examples of some of the menu choices as of 2006. (I'm sorry, but I can't include prices because they change.)

Eggs prepared as you prefer, with or without ham, bacon, sausage, or corn beef hash

Pancakes with or without bananas, pineapple, macadamia nuts, or white chocolate chips
Omelettes with or without cheese, sausage, shrimp, spinach, ham, onions, peppers, avacado
