Westin Maui on
Kaanapali Beach The "Westin Maui Resort & Spa" is right in the middle of Kaanapali Beach, my favorite Maui location. It is next door to Whalers Village shopping center, and in easy walking distance of other resort hotels, restaurants, snorkeling and all beach activities. Phone 808-667-2525. The Westin has several wonderful pools on multiple levels with lush trees and bushes and flowers all around them. There are waterfalls and water slides. The Westin is composed of two adjacent buildings, with a total of 761 rooms. The Ocean Tower building has smaller rooms (380 square feet including the lanai), with only an armoire and no closet in the room. The Beach Tower building has more expensive and larger rooms (456 square feet including the lanai), with a closet in each room. Restaurants in the Westin include Tropica (fine dining indoors and outdoor terrace), Ono Bar & Grill (outdoor poolside including buffets), and two snack bars (Colonnade and Sea Dogs). Do not confuse this Westin Maui resort hotel with the "Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas" which is a new timeshare in a different location, just north of Kaanapali Beach. If you'd like elaborate multiple pools that are beautifully landscaped and tiered, and you don't mind the small size of many of the rooms, then the Westin is a very good choice in a perfect location.
