Kaanapali Beach Club Timeshare
Kaanapali Beach Club is a timeshare just north of Kaanapali Beach. It
was formerly the Embassy Suites hotel, then the Embassy Vacation
Resort, then the Sunterra, now managed by Diamond Resorts.

Kaanapali Beach Club is not on the main Kaanapali
Beach resort strip that extends from the Hyatt
to the Sheraton. Instead, it is in
Honokowai, about a mile to the north. When it was the Embassy Suites
hotel, it had the advantage of larger rooms than most other hotels.
But now that it is a timeshare, which many people expect to have all the
facilities of a condo, those same rooms lack a full kitchen that you can get
with the newer Marriott timeshares and
Westin timeshares that are really in
Kaanapali.
Kaanapali Beach Club has 413 rooms in connected
12-story buildings. There are one and two-bedroom units.
My main concern about people staying at Kaanapali
Beach Club, is that they may be talked into buying a
timeshare that I feel
is overpriced. When all charges for such a timeshare
purchase are considered, it appears to me that it would be cheaper to just
bank that money and use it to stay at any hotel or condo you like, whether
on Maui or elsewhere.
If you can get a reasonable price to stay here without
being talked into buying a timeshare, and you don't mind the fact that it is
not in the main Kaanapali area, then the Kaanapali Beach Club would be a good place to stay.
