About the Bailey House Museum

This Maui museum was originally the Wailuku Female Seminary for Hawaiian Girls from 1832 to 1849.  It was Edward Bailey’s home until 1888.  It has now been turned into a museum showcasing Hawaiian artifacts and culture, with paintings and furnishings of the 19th century.  They charge an admission fee.  The surrounding gardens contain plants of the missionary era.  There is a gift shop in the building.
