Haliimaile General Store Haliimaile General Store is not a store, but is one of Maui's top restaurants. It's in the tiny town of Haliimaile, on the way into the Upcountry section of Maui. Open for lunch and dinner weekdays, only dinner on weekends. Phone 808-572-2666 Haliimaile (pronounced ha-lee-ee-MY-lay) General Store's owner is well-known Maui chef Beverly Gannon, one of the founders of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. The food here is both delicious and beautiful, just as at her other two Maui restaurants, Gannon's and Joe's.
