Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas is a timeshare just north of Kaanapali

The Westin Villas is a huge new high-rise
complex built in 2006-2007. There are 1021 units in six 6-story
buildings. The rooms are beautifully appointed. One and two and
three-bedroom units are available. All are air conditioned. The
pools are large and elaborate. It is on a very good beach, though a
long walk from the main Kaanapali Beach hotel-resort area that extends from
the Hyatt to the Sheraton.
My main concern about people staying at Westin Ocean
Resort Villas, is that they may be talked into buying a timeshare that I
feel is tremendously overpriced. When all charges for such a timeshare
purchase are considered, it appears to me that it would be cheaper to just
bank that money and use it to stay at any hotel or condo you like, whether
on Maui or elsewhere.
There is another Westin nearby, called the
Westin Maui on Kaanapali Beach. That one
is on the main resort section of Kaanapali, is not as new, and is a hotel
and not a timeshare.
If you can get a reasonable price to stay here without
being talked into buying a timeshare, then the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort
Villas would be a good place to stay.
