The Wailea Marriott is an oceanfront resort comprised of multiple connected buildings, mostly three and four stories each.  At 3700 Wailea Alanui.  Phone (808) 879-1922.

The Wailea Marriott was opened in 1976 as the Intercontinental Hotel.  It was later run by Outrigger for a short time, before becoming the Wailea Marriott.  It had extensive renovations of the rooms and grounds in 2006 and 2007.  There are 546 rooms.  It is located on a rocky shoreline, but is adjacent to a large beach.  The Wailea Marriott has a large children's water play area with big water slides.

Restaurants in the Wailea Marriott are Mala and Kumu Bar & Grill.  There is a Mandara Spa and a Fitness Center.

The Wailea Marriott is a completely different hotel than the Maui Marriott, which is a timeshare property on Kaanapali Beach, an hour's drive away from Wailea.

If you don't mind a short walk to the beach, the lovely rooms and grounds of the Wailea Marriott are a good choice.
