Papakea
Condos Papakea is condo complex in Honokowai, on the west side of Maui, at 3543 Lower Honoapiilani Road. Phone 808-669-4848 Papakea consists of five 4-story buildings. There are a total of 364 condos, including studios and 1 or 2 or 3-bedroom units. Some have an ocean view, and a few are ocean-front. All are air conditioned, and include full kitchens and washer-dryers. On the property are two pools, Jacuzzi, tennis court, putting greens, and decorative ponds. Papakea is an older condo (built in 1975-1978), so some units do not have as up-to-date decor as others. Most rentals are managed by Aston (formerly called ResortQuest), so you may hear this called the Aston Papakea. The beach in front of Papakea is narrow, and there is a steep stone wall separating the beach from the condo buildings. But there is a wider beach just a couple minutes walk away. A large grocery store and a few small shops and restaurants are also just a 5 minute walk from the condos. If you want a quiet air-conditioned condo and don't need a modern luxury high-rise, then Papakea is a good place to stay. See photos below. |
