Old Wailuku Inn Bed &
Breakfast The Old Wailuku Inn at Ulupono is a Bed and Breakfast in the town of Wailuku, which is adjacent to Maui's largest city of Kahului. It's at 2199 Kahookele Street, five miles from Maui's main airport. Phone 808-244-5897. This lovely B&B has just seven rooms for rent in the main older building, and three in the newer building. Both buildings are air conditioned. There are also a living room, a breakfast room, a front porch and gardens that are shared by all the guests. There is no swimming pool. The original home from which the B&B was created was built in 1924. Being in the city, The Old Wailuku Inn is not near any beaches or tourist towns or resort areas. However, it is close to some restaurants and shops that are more frequented by local Maui residents than by tourists, and it is a short drive from both the scenic Iao Valley and Maui's largest shopping center (Queen Kaahumanu Center). If you prefer a quiet B&B away from the tourists, and you don't mind having to drive to the beach or to tourist activities, then the Old Wailuku Inn can be a good place to stay. See photos below. |
