Maui Kai condos in Honokowai Maui Kai is about two miles north of the main Kaanapali Beach hotel-condo area, in a district called Honokowai. It's at 106 Kaanapali Shores Place, between the Mahana and the Kaanapali Beach Club. Phone 808-667-3500. Maui Kai is right on a narrow section of beach, adjacent to wider beach areas. The beach immediately in front of Maui Kai is eroded and there is a low seawall between the beach and the building. This is one of the only Maui condo buildings where practically every room is beach-front, with great ocean views. But Maui Kai is older than most of the other high-rise condos (it was built in 1970), and some of its units are not up-to-date. There are community washers and dryers in the hall, rather than individual ones in each unit. The pool is small. There are 79 studio and one-bedroom units in one 10-story building. Air conditioned. This is a good place to consider if you would like a smaller but older high-rise condo with excellent ocean views. See photos below. |
