Kamaole Sands Condos in
KiheiKamaole Sands is a large condo
group at 2695 South Kihei Road, in the south part of Kihei. Phone
(808) 874-8700.
Like most Kihei condos, Kamaole Sands is across
the street from the ocean, not on the beach. But it is across from
Kamaole III (Kam 3) which is a good beach park. There are 440 units in
ten 4-story buildings, built in 1983. Each unit has air conditioning
in the living room (and adjacent kitchen), but not in the bedrooms.
However, some owners have added a window or wall air conditioner in a
bedroom, so you can ask whether such a condo is available. There are one, two and three-bedroom units, some including lofts.
In addition to the main swimming pool, there is a kiddie pool and two
Jacuzzis. Barbecues, workout room, ping-pong table and four
tennis courts are on the property. There is an activity desk and a
morning island orientation with continental breakfast. Most units, and the grounds, are
better kept up than in some other Kihei condos. Restaurants and shops
are an easy half-mile walk away.
If you can get along without air conditioning in your
bedroom (or get one of the condos that has added that feature), and if you don't mind a walk across the street to the beach, then Kamaole
Sands is a very good place to stay.
