Kaanapali Alii condos
MauiKaanapali Alii is the most
luxurious condo building on Kaanapali Beach, my favorite Maui location.
Since it is a condo, it does not have as elaborate pools and grounds and
lobbies as the big hotels, and there are no shops or restaurants in the
building. But it is in easy walking distance
of resort hotels, restaurants, Whalers Village shopping center, snorkeling and all beach
activities. And as a condo, it gives you more space and a full
kitchen, which you would not get in a hotel.
Kaanapali Alii consists of 264 luxury condos in four
11-story buildings. The one-bedroom units have about 1500 square feet
and the two-bedroom units have about 1800 square feet. All are air
conditioned, unlike some of the less expensive condos on Maui. Built
in 1982.
If you prefer a condo over a hotel, and don't mind an
expensive one, then Kaanapali Alii would be my first choice.
