Hololani
CondosHololani is a condo building
on the west side of Maui, about 12 minutes (5 miles) north of Kaanapali
Beach. It is less expensive than the condo buildings at Kaanapali
because it is not at that main beach resort area and because it is not air
conditioned.
All Hololani condos have two bedrooms and two
bathrooms, as well as complete kitchens. There are 63 units in two
8-story buildings, built in 1974. It's right on a beach, though the beach is narrow
and has some rocks. The pool is very small. Maid service is once
per week, not daily as at more expensive condos.
Hololani is in Kahana, just a 6 minute walk (or 2
minute drive) from the Kahana Gateway shopping center. There you will
find several small stores and three restaurants:
Roy's, Fish and Game, and McDonald's.
If you don't mind being without air conditioning on
Maui, then Hololani is a way to stay right on a beach, with good ocean
views, for less money than
at the more luxurious resorts.
