Diamond Hawaii Resort in
WaileaDiamond Hawaii Resort is a
condo uphill, away from the beaches, in Wailea. It's at 555 Kaukahi
Street, phone 808-874-0500.
Although it's called Diamond Hawaii Resort, I
don't think of this condo complex as a true resort. It is uphill, in
an area of pirvately owned condos, far from any beach. There are 72
units, each a 900-square-foot 1-bedroom condo with a kitchenette. The
units are in 18 2-story buildings, with 4 units per building. Built in
1990. The
central building (which has no condo units) contains the checkin desk, a
small excercise room, and two upscale restaurants. The restaurants are
Capische (Italian) and Taiko (Japanese).
If you want to be in a quiet area away from the
crowds, and you don't mind not being near any beach, then you could consider
staying at Diamond Hawaii Resort.
