Aina Nalu Condos in Lahaina Aina Nalu is in Lahaina, at 660 Wainee Street. Phone 808-667-9766. This is one of the only condos that is actually inside the town of Lahaina. Many other west Maui condos have Lahaina addresses, but are actually miles outside of town. But Outrigger Aina Nalu is right in the city, surrounded by city buildings, several blocks from the ocean, and not near any beach. It is within walking distance of Lahaina stores and restaurants. It was built as a residential apartment in the 1970's, then converted to a hotel for many years called Maui Islander. To convert it to Aina Nalu, all of the rooms were extensively remodeled in 2005, so they have very good modern furnishings. Many of the rooms are timeshares, but others are condos that are available as vacation rentals. There are studios and one- and two-bedroom units. The studios have a very limited small kitchen with just a microwave, but the others have full kitchens. 276 units in 9 two-story buildings. Air conditioned. If you prefer to stay in town, rather than on a beach or in a resort area, then Aina Nalu is a good choice. |
